Bert is a 1993 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. He has a BBA in Finance with a minor in Economics. He has 26 years of experience in banking, insurance and financial services. He is an Enrolled Agent. As an EA he is a federally-authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and who is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service for audits, collections, and appeals.

He along with his wife Elizabeth have lived in The Woodlands-Conroe area for 18 years.
